7D/6N Flores Overland​ Tour

Day 01: Arrival
Denpasar – Labuan Bajo – Maumere
Upon arrival at Maumere on the island of Flores, you will be welcomed by our local guide. Transfer to Sea World Club or Capa Resort for overnight stay.

Day 02: Maumere – Moni (B) +/- 100 km
After breakfast, visit Wuring, a Fishing Village near Maumere. Continue on to Sikka, known for its old church from 1899 and the Ikat Weaving that is enthusiastically sold by the local people. At Paga Beach, take some time to relax and, if you wish, you can swim here. In Moni, you will stay overnight at Kelimutu Eco Lodge. The rooms are non-air-conditioned in this cool climate. In the evening, you may take a stroll through the small village of Moni.

Day 03: Moni – Mt. Kelimutu – Riung (B) +/- 180 km
Take an early morning trip to Kelimutu Volcano to witness the sunrise and take a 30-minute walk to the lookout. The three color-changing lakes are caused by dissolved minerals. After breakfast, travel to Riung via Ende, stopping at Ndua Ria Fruit Market, Saga Village, and Soekarno’s House. Enjoy the view, including Pengga Jawa Beach, before reaching the northern coast. The road is rough in some areas. Overnight at Pondok SVD or Café Delmar.

Day 04: Riung – Bajawa (B) +/- 65 km
Take a boat trip to the 17 Islands National Park near Riung to see a variety of fish and coral. Snorkeling equipment are provided. The first stop is at the mangrove forest, home to hundreds of Pteropus Bats. Enjoy lunch on a remote island, then head to Bajawa. On the way, visit the Soa hot springs for a warm bath. Check in at Manulalu Villa in Bajawa for the night.

Day 05: Bajawa – Ruteng (B) +/- 133 km
In the morning, visit the traditional villages of Luba and Bena, known for their megalithic stones and view of Mount Inerie. In the afternoon, travel to Ruteng, stopping at Aimere to see the palm wine processing. Visit Liang Bua Cave, where the bones of Homo Floresiensis (the “hobbit”) were discovered. Overnight at Spring Hill Bungalow or Sindha Hotel in Ruteng.

Day 06: Ruteng – Labuan Bajo (B)
Morning drive to Labuan Bajo, with a stop at the spiderweb rice fields in Cancar. Upon arrival, check in at Hotel Bintang Flores or a similar hotel for a free and easy day.

Day 07: Departure (B)
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, then transfer to your next destination.
